Chauffeur Service in Los Angeles
Nobody plans an arrival around the fastest route. They plan it around a window somebody else issued. We work backwards from that window, hold the car through the event instead of releasing it, and bring it back on one message.
Arrivals
Getting There Is Not the Service
Every other ride you book is judged on when it ends. An event arrival is judged in the four seconds between the car stopping and the door closing behind you — in front of a bank of photographers, a step-and-repeat, and a producer with a clipboard who is already thinking about the next vehicle.
That is a different job to a transfer. It is scheduled by somebody who is not you — a publicist, a unit publicist, an event producer — and it is measured against a window rather than an estimated arrival time. It does not finish at the drop, either. It finishes hours later, when the car comes back from a holding lot you never saw.
So we run event work as a shift rather than a trip. The vehicle is prepared to be photographed, the chauffeur is briefed for the door rather than the route, the car is held instead of released to another booking, and the whole thing is quoted hourly because hourly is what it actually is.
This page is written for two people: the guest who has been handed an arrival time, and the publicist or producer who has to land eleven of them inside the same half hour.

Run of Show
A Night, Written Out in Full
This is the working shape of an event booking. None of it is an upsell. It is simply the order the night has to happen in if the arrival is going to land inside its window.
Arrival window, vehicle count, drop point and the name of your on-site contact are confirmed in writing. Nothing about an event night is agreed on a phone call alone.
Washed and detailed the same day, interior reset, no livery, no dealer plate frames, no window stickers. The car is going to appear in somebody’s photograph.
Route, drop zone, which side the doors open on, how you are to be addressed, and who is authorised to move the vehicle. Briefed before departure, not worked out at the kerb.
Pickup from the residence, hotel or glam suite. Departure is calculated backwards from your arrival slot, which is rarely the same as the fastest route.
The vehicle holds in the approach lane or a nearby staging position. Arriving early is not the same as arriving on time — a slot has two edges.
The car enters the drop zone inside the assigned window. The chauffeur opens the camera-side door, then steps back out of the frame.
Directed to whichever holding lot event traffic control assigns that night. The chauffeur stays with the vehicle and stays reachable. The car is not released to another job.
One message from you or your contact. The vehicle returns to the agreed pickup point, typically inside ten minutes and sooner when the lot is close.
T−minus codes describe how a booking is planned, not a contractual schedule. Real timings move with the venue, the traffic management plan on the night and how late the arrival windows are issued. What does not move is the order: prepared, briefed, staged, held, recalled.
At the Door
Four Things Decided Before the Car Stops
By the time the vehicle reaches the drop zone, every one of these has already been settled. Not one of them is worth improvising on a lit kerb with a queue of cars behind you.
The camera side is decided before you arrive
Photographers work one side of a carpet, and which side changes by venue and by event. The drop point and the opening door are matched to it at the brief, so nobody is turning around on the kerb deciding where to stand.
The vehicle is part of the picture
Black on black, detailed the same day, no company livery, no magnetic signage, no plate surround advertising a dealership, nothing hanging from the mirror. Nothing in the photograph should belong to us.
Opens the door, then leaves the frame
Suit and tie, no sunglasses, no phone in hand. The door is held, you step out, and the chauffeur returns to the driver’s side rather than walking anyone up a carpet. Being invisible is the job.
Gowns travel differently to people
Garment bags, shoe cases and touch-up kits are usually happier in their own vehicle. A second car or a Sprinter means nothing is folded across a lap and nothing is carried across a carpet in view.
Early is not the same as on time. An arrival window has two edges. The single most common mistake on an event night
Occasions
What Changes, Event by Event
The vehicle is frequently the same one. The timing, the access and the number of cars are not.
Film premieres & screenings
Arrival windows are tight, publicist-controlled and issued late. Boulevards around Hollywood close on short notice. We work to the slot you are given rather than to an estimated arrival time.
Award season
January through March runs on multi-hour holds rather than point-to-point runs, and books out weeks ahead. On these dates it is the vehicle that runs out, not the route.
Charity galas & benefits
Several hundred guests arriving inside the same half hour. Staggered arrival times and a marshalled drop order are what keep a porte-cochère moving instead of stacking.
Fashion shows & brand launches
Short lead times, venues that move between seasons, and talent arriving from three directions at once. Almost always a small block of vehicles rather than a single car.
Museum openings & private views
Restricted approach roads and very little standing room at the door. We drop, clear the frontage immediately, and hold off-site until recalled.
Industry parties & after-events
The second half of the night, frequently to an address that is only shared once you are already moving. Hourly as-directed is built for exactly this.
Not listed? Send us the event anyway. A good share of what we cover in a year never had a category to begin with.
For Producers
Moving Eleven People, Not One
Past two vehicles an event stops being a booking and starts being a logistics problem. This is the part we take off your desk.
- A lead chauffeur coordinates the whole block on the night, so your runner is speaking to one person instead of calling six drivers in turn.
- A written manifest is issued before the event: vehicle, plate, chauffeur name and direct mobile for every car in the block.
- Standby vehicles can be held at the venue for departures that were never on the schedule.
- One booking, one point of contact, one consolidated invoice. Net terms are available to agencies and production companies on request.
- Hourly as-directed with a three-hour minimum is the usual structure for event work. Point-to-point almost never fits a night with a hold in the middle of it.
The best review of an event chauffeur is that nobody remembers one was there.Discretion is a specification, not a courtesy
Fleet
Ordered for Arrivals, Not for Capacity
Sedans and SUVs can be reserved online in about two minutes. Stretch limousines and Sprinters are held by quote so the exact vehicle and chauffeur are confirmed for your date before you commit.
First Class Sedan
The default arrival car. Rear doors that open wide enough for a gown, and a silhouette that photographs without explaining itself.
Business Class Sedan
For guests, plus-ones and staff moving separately from the principal. Same standard of chauffeur, smaller footprint at the door.
Premium Luxury SUV
Higher step-out and more headroom, which matters with elaborate wardrobe. Also the usual choice when a security detail travels with you.
Executive SUV
The workhorse of an event block. Wardrobe, glam kit, camera bags or a detail, without pulling a sedan off the principal.
Classic Stretch Limousine
A deliberate choice rather than a default one. Right for group arrivals and period-styled events, and it needs more kerb than a sedan does.
Shuttle Sprinter
Guest shuttles between a hotel block and the venue, or crew and wardrobe moving as one. Runs on a loop across the arrival window.
Groups above five passengers or five bags are quoted rather than booked online. Executive Sprinters, Jet Sprinters and a 40-passenger coach are available on request. See the full fleet.
The Brief
The Eight Things We Will Ask
Send these and we can quote properly the first time instead of the third. Anything you do not know yet, mark unknown — half of an event is unknown until the week before, and we build the booking so it can absorb that.
- Event, venue and date
- Your assigned arrival window, if one has been issued yet
- Pickup address — residence, hotel or glam suite
- Passengers travelling in the principal vehicle
- Whether wardrobe, glam or security needs a car of its own
- Roughly how long the hold between drop and departure will run
- Who triggers the departure, and how they reach the chauffeur
- An on-site contact name and mobile for the night itself
Questions
Red Carpet & Event Questions
What is an arrival window, and why do you keep asking for it?
Carpets run on slots. A publicist or event producer allocates a few minutes in which a given guest is expected at the door, so that photographers, press and the step-and-repeat are not handling three arrivals at once. Arriving fifteen minutes early is a problem in the same way arriving fifteen minutes late is. Give us the window and we work the departure backwards from it. If no window has been issued yet, tell us that too — we will build the booking so the slot can be dropped in later without re-quoting.
Will the chauffeur walk me in?
No, and that is intentional. The chauffeur opens the door, holds it while you step out, and returns to the driver’s side. Anyone visible beside you on a carpet becomes part of the photograph and part of the story, which is not what you are paying for. If you need someone walking with you, that is a role for your own security or your publicist, and we will coordinate the drop around them.
What happens to the car while I am inside?
It goes wherever event traffic control sends it, which is usually a holding lot within a few minutes of the venue, and the chauffeur stays with it. The vehicle is not released to another booking, not sent to a different job, and not parked somewhere it cannot get back from. That hold is the reason event work is quoted hourly rather than as a transfer.
How fast can the car come back at the end?
Typically within ten minutes of the recall message, and often faster when the holding lot is close. What we will not promise is an exact figure, because it depends on which lot we were assigned and what the traffic plan is doing at the time. If a fast exit is critical — a flight, a second event, a departure you would rather nobody clocked — say so at booking and we will hold closer, or hold a second vehicle.
Can you handle several vehicles for one event?
Yes, and most event bookings are more than one car. A block runs under a single booking with a lead chauffeur coordinating on the night, a written manifest issued in advance with plate and chauffeur details for each vehicle, and one consolidated invoice at the end. Agencies, publicists and production companies can ask about net terms.
What does event chauffeur service cost?
Event work is quoted hourly as-directed with a three-hour minimum, because the hold in the middle of the night is the whole point. Rates start at $90 per hour for a Business Class Sedan and run to $140 for an S-Class. Stretch limousines, Sprinters and multi-vehicle blocks are quoted per event, since the vehicle mix and the hold length drive the number more than the mileage does.
How discreet is this, actually?
Chauffeurs do not photograph vehicles, guests or venues, do not post about work, and do not confirm to anyone who was in a car. Passenger names stay inside the booking. We will review and sign an NDA if your team wants one on file, and we can take a booking under a production company or an assistant’s name rather than the passenger’s. None of this is an upgrade; it is how the service runs.
How far ahead should I book?
For a single sedan or SUV on an ordinary event night, several days is usually enough. For award season, a major premiere, a gala weekend, or anything needing a block of vehicles, a stretch limousine or a Sprinter, book as soon as the date is real. Between January and March, Los Angeles simply runs out of compliant vehicles and licensed chauffeurs before it runs out of demand.
Book the Car
Reserve a sedan or SUV online in about two minutes. Flat rate or hourly, confirmed before you pay, and no surge because it happens to be a premiere night.
